Light Warehouse Training

This program has been approved by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training.

There are a number of businesses in town which make use of warehouses and require trained workers who can do things like handle forklifts, handle spreadsheets, run basic warehouse operations and other such tasks. Unfortunately, finding skilled workers in this field can be difficult, so it is with great pleasure that the Canadian Vocational Training Center offers Light Warehouse Training.

This eleven week course covers the fundamental skills you need to work in a warehouse environment, including:

  • Microsoft Word and Excel (2010)
  • Business Communications
  • Foundations of Warehouse operations
  • Business Mathematics
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate
  • Forklift Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • WHMIS Certificate

Students who graduate receive the light warehouse training certification from the CVTC and can then move on to becoming employed in this in-demand field.

After training, students are equipped to work in a wide variety of warehouses and other businesses that make use of a warehouse system. This great program uses industry experts to help move students through getting their tickets and fantastic instruction in a small classroom to train future employees.
