On Saturday, April 6 in Prince George, we hosted our Community Love and Fun Day which is a kickoff to our month of community love, celebrating 10 years in Prince George!
We had roughly 300 people come to our open house, eat burgers and hot dogs, learn about our programs and win some cool swag.
Our event opened with the UHNBC drummers doing a few songs and prayers for us.
Then the BBQ kicked off and we celebrated!
We had a great time showing off the centre, chatting with the community, and getting to know about the different organizations around Prince George.
But the fun didn’t stop there!
For the month of April (From now until the 26th), drop by the Centre in Prince George to get a map of our partners:
Visit as many (or as few) of those businesses as you would like to and then bring the map back to the Farmer’s Market on the 27th of April. Each stamp will get you a ticket for our huge raffle! $6000 worth of groceries! ($500/month for 12 months. $400 of which will be gift cards for Save On Foods, $100 of which will be gift certificates for the farmer’s market). And four are already ‘stamped’ for you!
Maps will not be handed out on the 27th, so get it before then to be eligible to enter our raffle!
Make sure to come visit us anytime in the month of April to get your map and then on the 27th, come see us and all our partners to learn more about the different organizations and businesses in our city that have helped us grow and can help you too.
